3rd Annual Childhood Stroke

Awareness Walk/Get Together

Please join us Sunday, September 13, 2009 to help us raise awareness about CHILDHOOD STROKE and celebrate its SURVIVORS for the 3rd Annual Childhood Stroke Awareness Walk/Rally. 

Participants will gather at 9:00 a.m.  Those of you who would like are encouraged to join us as we walk the 1.1-mile south loop of the figure eight track.   This year we will have some extra activities and information booths. 

T-Shirts are for sale; orders will be taken prior to the event.  Shirt Pricing:  Children’s 2T to Adult XL is $10.00 Adult XXL is $11.50 Adult XXXL $12.00.  $3 dollars from the sale of each shirt will go to the Brendon’s Smile organization to help fund our raising awareness efforts.  Deadline for shirt orders is Tuesday, September 1st.  Shirts can be picked up the day of the event.  If you would like a t-shirt, are unable to attend the walk, and would like it mailed to you please add an extra $3.00 per t-shirt for shipping and handling.   Don’t forget to include the address to where you would like the t-shirt mailed.

Road and Hancock Road. 

WHEN:    Sunday morning, September 13, 2009 at 9 a.m.

FEE:        NONE - ITS FREE!!!  We do ask that you sign in when you arrive so we can get a head count to assist us in planning for the 4th Annual Walk.

Donations will be accepted and appreciated.  A central mission of "Brendon's Smile...Raising Awareness For Childhood Stroke" is to raise awareness for childhood stroke among pediatricians, neurologists, and other health care providers.  We've partnered with the Department of Neurology at the Washington University School of Medicine to use "Brendon's Smile" funds to bring in an internationally known pediatric stroke expert to lecture to the medical community, and to interact directly with medical students and residents.  We are committed to making certain that our current and future physicians are fully educated on the topic of childhood stroke.
